    NIHB Health Canada

I am being told that Non Insured Health Benefits program from Health Canada will no longer allow client balance billing for non-covered benefits like progressive lenses. Anyone else having difficulty? Also, Health Canada's Batch payment process is creating headaches in reconciling statements. Any other issues?

That comes as news to me and we deal with NIHB on a daily basis. Did you receive information in the mail? A lot of our treaty clients upgrade whether it's paying a few extra bucks out of pocket for a tint or progressive or combining benefits with their insurance plans.
