Glenwood Canyon CO Vacation

Hi all,

Recently read a book "10 Million Steps on Rt. 6". Joe Hurley walked from Cape Cod to CA on Rt. 6. He said that Glenwood Canyon in CO was the most beautiful part of the journey.

Thinking about flying into Denver and heading west toward Arches National Park in Utah the last week of Sept.

Anyone with experience in the area, please chime in with your comments and recommendations.

Highway 6 thru there is Interstate 70, and is a nice area. I always preferred the SW side of Colorado - the Durango, Silverton, and Ouray area. If you get a chance to go down that low, take the Durango narrow-gauge train. Really some great scenery. And the jeeping can't be beat. The southwest end has been called the Switzerland of America as the mountains are spectacular.
