They don't even have all the bugs outta their Mr Blue edger and they are moving onto another version. Be weary.

Went thru 3 GMDs in like a year and a half. That's beyond unacceptable.

They keep saying they fixed it, but instead they offer a 1 time replacement at NC with new purchases. When they disco these units they'll have a ticking clock on their usable life.

Why not just get a Santinelli and avoid those issues? We have zero complaints after over 10 years with the ME1000 and now the ME1200.
I made Briot take back an edger and everyone tells me the Mr.s edgers have some issues.

I doubt it is 3x for a Nidek machine that is comparable; slight exaggeration maybe?

    You mentioned MEs!
I think Nexia is their entry level replacing Gamma. My guess would be in mid $20K

I pushed for a Santinelli machine but you never see their repair reps, the Essilor repair rep is always on the phone with you or in the office. I tried to explain to the doctor that this was a good scenario but he had his heart set and now I deal with the issues day in and day out. I can't moan too much because I run a essilor pattern edger at home for my business, won't die ever because it was very rudimentary and I replaced about 80% of the internal parts with radio shack and other parts. I call it the frankenedger, one of these days I'm just going to scrap it and build my own.
