Confused Question about billing Digital Lenses

    Good evening:

I haven't been around these parts lately - BUT wondering if you can help an old-timer out -

Just wondering how you all bill out the digital lenses - (for example, SV)

do you... use the standard Vcode for the lens (like usual)

do you ... use the standard Vcode for the lens but use V2199 for the added price of the digital

do you ... use the the standard Vcode for the lens but use v2410 vaiable asphericity lens for the added price of the digital ...

Oh how I wish the insurance industry would keep up with technology!

(don't EVEN get me started on billing progressives).

    Thanks in advance -

    Karen

    Depends on the insurance :)

VSP has us using the V2410 for digital aspheric. So something like a Zeiss Poly SV Individual would have a V2103 + V2784 + V2410.
IF you are using position of wear measurements or specialty measuring devices, such as i.scription then use the V2199 for misc, digital

For Progressives it is usually the bifocal or trifocal V code, and then the V2781's U&C is adjusted for the tier/category. Similar to how we used to price the Comfort at a higher retail than the Ovation. Then you can still use the misc codes (might actually use V2799 ..) for the extra measurements.
