Eye Med recommends you make members aware of these remake policies in writing prior to purchase decision to avoid member dissatisfaction. In the event of a complaint investigation, EyeMed will support the provider when he or she has supporting documentation that the member was informed of the refund, return and remake policy before the member made the decision to purchase the eyewear. Refund, return and remake policies stated on receipts are not considered sufficient supporting documentation as receipts are provided after the purchase decision.-
So if you do not have a signed acknowledgment before the order is submitted and 1 second after it is submitted the patient wants to change something or cancel you are on the hook for all lab charges as a private pay situation.
