Know a woman who works for home shopping, she said that when she went into an interview, they handed her a pencil and said: "Now sell me that pencil." She did, she got the job.

You can't sell if you can't sell yourself. Don't feel bad though, I can't either.

A logical 1st step would be to simply call labs in your area (or, the area you would wish to work) and ask for the person in charge of sales.

Explain your interest and attempt to get an in-person interview. Even if there is no current opening, try for the interview anyway as the lab may not know their future needs and, you will profit from the experience.

Be sure to learn to ask questions; that's how you will determine needs from either the lab person or a future customer. Many (most?) sales folk tend to tell you what you need rather than find out.
