Advice from the educators out there on my ABOM paper

I have a few months free from school work, so I'd like to either complete or make significant headway on my ABOM paper. Mainly I'm looking for potential obstacles in research or suggestions on sources for data. Option 1) Difference in impact resistance by adding AR. Option 2) Narrowing of progressive zones by different Rx factors (high cyl, high add, etc.). In either one of these topics, I will need to get actual numbers. Would there be a source I could access numbers already published, or are there labs (like Colts) that I could send lenses out to be tested? In the case of impact resistance, I would need the actual lbs/in value, not simply a pass/fail on a drop ball. Thanks!

I went through my old threads, because I know I've asked about this before (although it has been quite some time). When I've asked about the AR impact resistance idea, I've had a really positive response from everyone, so that's what I'm going to do. Now I just have to figure out how to get my data. I'm going to email Colts, to see if they have already existing data they would share, or if they would test lenses for me that I would provide. Would anyone have another lab that they would suggest I try?

Wes, that's awesome, thanks. The paper here deals with plastic lenses, whereas I would like to write one on polycarbonate lenses. I could see validity in doing Trivex as well, but poly I think would be more universally beneficial as it's much more prevalent in children's dress and sports glasses. If I wanted to have different poly lenses tested myself through a lab, do you think there are any lens manufacturers that would donate some lenses to the cause? (I wonder how many lenses would be needed to be considered a fair test)

Well I received a response from one lab. "...protocol would require 55 -2.00 lenses be test/ per group and the cost would be $778.00 per group." If other labs are similar, then I think experimenting myself is out of the question. :(
