Forming New Cooperative Lens Group

A new Co-operative Lens Group is being formed to provide its members vast cost reductions on premium brand lenses, coatings and lab services. All products are being manufactured locally in Canada, not off shore.
Unlike buying groups or professional network association programs that skim a percentage and reap hefty profits from your spend, Co-operatives are member-owned corporations that are incorporated and controlled businesses operating on Co-operative democratic and financial principles:
- One member, one vote, regardless of the amount invested
- Distribution of surplus to members, based on their use of the Co-op
Basically, regardless of volume, each member achieves the same equality through membership and any surplus of profit based on percentage of usage is given back to it's members at the end of each tax year.
In addition, to ensure improved service levels and success, a dedicated, experienced registered professional will be contractually assigned to provide operational guidance including product training for all member dispensary staff.
What is required to join as a member?
- A minimal investment fee (corporate share purchase and refundable upon cancellation)
- Approval of application from other members (for transparency and integrity)
- There is no liability as a member
An entire board containing officers, directors and members shall be established. This new Co-operative is scheduled to commence within the next few weeks.
