I want advice 2G or SGX generator , advantages and disadvantages
2G, not even a comparison in reliability.
SGX is poorly designed with motherboards exposed to electrostatic dust and sensors that are constantly not working.
We are using a manual generator for now and we want to get either 2G or SGX , we do not have any technician here in Ghana in case of repairs so l want a generator which is durable and will not give a lot of problems
Thanks Lenny, but we need a computerized one for backup , so 2g and SGX , which one will you recommend
No, you really don't -- there are plenty of Coburn 108, 112 and 113 generators on the market.
Any computerized generator (as you should well know) is going to need technicians to service it and keep it running. Once a lab gets a computerized genny in-house, it won't be used for back up, it will become the main generator, with the manual relegated as a back up.
Stick with a rebuilt 108, 112, or 113 and you won't have any problems getting parts or supplies. Move to a computerized genny, and where are you going to get motherboards, sensors, etc etc etc ad infinitum when parts machines are no longer available? And who is going to do the servicing? OP says he has no technicians.
