    In-House Matte Finish

    Fellow optiboarders,

I've seen a few independent shops advertising the ability to take a polished finish frame and turn it matte. I know I'm kinda late on this, but how does one go about doing this? What chemical is used? Dos and donts? Is their a specific technique? Feel free to PM me if need be.

Thanks, as always, for all of your help

Take the temples off, remove the lenses................get 200 grid sand paper and sand it. Do not use chemicals.

Harbor Freight sells inexpensive sandblasters (sub $100). Much easier and more uniform results.

That is even better and faster...................that is why I am driving a new Town&Country where they rear seats flip down into the basement by pressing the button, when I have to load a lot of stuff.
