    No. I'm eager to try it, though. I don't think it has released in the US yet. I'm hoping it is more durable than the disaster that purecoat has been.

    They released it in the UK around a year ago, and very quickly pulled it off the market after many failures. I was told it was a specific issue with Photofusion (we haven't had any failures, by the way). It was re-released in January but only on a few materials, and I'm not sure where it's at now because we figured it would be safer to stick with Lotutec for the time being. If we want a good coating, we don't choose Zeiss anyway.

    I can say the scratch resistance doesn't seem to be as good s Hoya's top coating; most of the ones I've seen have picked up quite a few little scratches.

    The way that their website talks about it, it makes it sound like a process, not a product. I'm a little confused now, because my reps had been telling me for well over a year it was coming down the line. I sure hope that they don't consider Purecoat to be their durable coating process...

    Thank you for that! Can anyone explain how that is different than Purecoat? My last lab tour described the exact same process as being why Purecoat was "so durable."
