I am in retail optical and I would maintain a small inventory of stock if I had access to single vision polarized in sphere powers as finished stock lenses.
My need would be so low that it wouldn't be economically feasible. I do however, keep good supplies of about a dozen different polaroids in Plano available. I also keep a good stock of semi-finished in different materials.
Just an FYI- You can do this with QSpex. Powers ranging +2.00 to -4.00 sph and cyl up to -2.00. SV and PAL.
No I would not. So few patients are SV spheres OU.
Granted, I know the Rx scope is extremely narrow, but I find the theory that you sell what you have is pretty accurate. So that if I you a small stock of those lenses you'd wind up selling them and can offer time jobs to try and entice patients w that Rx to go for it. Just a thought. Was curious to see what industry reaction was.
With backside AR?
With backside AR would be ideal, but wouldn't have to be.
No!
Call your favorite lab and offer to purchase every power from -0.25 to -2,50 in your favorite color and I'm confident you can negotiate a great price. But why tie up your $ in inventory if you can get them all overnight from US Optical (shameless plug) or your other favorite lab.
Money carefully refunded
Haha, well done, Metzger.
