Anyone deal with a french frame line called Face a Face?

One of our patients brought in a fairly good looking zyl in a hard to find pastel green with a narrow vertical bridge. I thought it fit well until I had to panto it and widen end pieces. The same adjustment on this patient's Gucci was not difficult but this almost $500 frame is not made of the same quality zyl and was quite difficult to adjust. I finally got the adjustment only to have the patient come in the next day. On insertion of her Rx , the eyewire rolled inward on one nasal side, and it really resisted straightening. Before anyone jumps on my adjusting skills, I have 42 years of experience in all sorts of plastics. This one is a zyl but not a quality one for adjusting. Beware Face a Face !!

See a lot of Face a Face on my Facebook page. They are funny animals, either the lenses are a perfect fit or nothing works right. They are made from acetate either by Decarocet or JDB both in France, the way it is reworked by them changes the properties.

You would think they would still care if it can be adjusted, not just the appearance!

I cut them without using heat. The lenses fit fine. As far as adjusting, not a lot can be done on some of the styles. We've had Face A Face for over 8 years with no real problems.
