    extras

I've been given the task to come up with an idea for giving our pt.s something "extra" that makes them feel like, "wow", noone else ever did or does that for me since i've been getting glasses... we currently already hand write a thank you note to all patients who make a purchase, free refills on all bottles of cleaner "ever" purchased from us as well as free cleaning clothes....any ideas to take us to the next level?

While you're at it....could you replace those groady old cases for them?

Customers (especially women) love "goodie bags". I found buying small shopping bags and filling them not only with their receipt but a small cleaning kit (2oz spray and cloth), a few cards for referrals and a coupon worth 20.00 towards their next purchase went a long way. Always get a "Ooooh thank you!" before they even know what's in it.

We're getting a local choclatier to make us nicely wrapped chocolates in the mold of our logo. Wonder how many will actually get to the clients.

When I see my dentist for cleanings, I always leave with a goodie bag including new brush, toothpaste (I know these are provided by the vendors, but also included is a cookie and small bottle of water. Something you wouldn't expect from a dentist and that is what makes it special. Not a lot of cost but still appreciated.

I also know an O.D. who gave every woman a fresh long stem flower as they were leaving. He decided to stop doing it at one point and needless to say, the ladies were upset when they no longer received their fresh flower.

Why not print your own labels for small bottles of water? Great in any weather and it sends a nice healthy message. Though I really like the chocolate idea. The real difference is whether it's just available to pick up, like a dish of candy, or given individually. Presentation is everything.
