I use a Kappa Edger and my Groove / safety bevel has stopped operating. I have a manual Groover as well as a Manual edging wheel that I am using in the mean time. I def prefer the finish produced by the kappa and have a call in to my tech support fellow. Have yet to hear from him...Hope it is a simple fix. Any ideas out there? Has anyone experienced this before? bought machine used two years ago.
I dont have any experience with a kappa but same thing happened with my topcon and what happened is that the groover motor burnt out, easy fix.
We have two of those edgers. The motor is probably brunt out. Make sure nothing is preventing it from spinning. I do not use it for safety beveling, to limit the use of the motor. The motor replacement is not cheap.
Found a green cable, that with the movement to the carriage had come out. Took it apart and with use of a few handy tools was able to re attach it. Works like a dream !
Where was the green cable that came out? My machine is doing the same thing...
