I have a patient that uses an upside down seg ed trifical for many years and she loves it, its time to make a new pair but my lab no longer offers the lens and I have called about 6 places with no luck. Anyone here know where I can still get an ED trifocal?

The patient has been using the ED tri for a a number of years now and she loves it, so it will be hard to get her to switch. She is an orthodontist and needs to work on the patient and look at a computer screen and have some distance to look at the door. She does not want any type of progressive as I did suggest an intermediate progressive. The next closest thing would be a 8x35 tri but Im not sure if thats enough field of view for her and she hates the look of an executive trifocal.
Optical 24/7 I will look into a chemistre overlay but in her line of work Im afraid it will take away from her vision.

The 14x35 with a 61% intermediate is still available. If you have integrity, nothing else matters. If you don't have integrity, nothing else matters

Several of us here do them in house. It wouldn't take away from her vision, just the opposite. You could use any type of lens design for the overlay. It would be plano w/segmented power. You can put the segment anywhere you want, even upside down like a traditional occupational lens and she can easily remove it for any other application of her current eye wear.
Much more versatile than traditional occupational's can ever be simply because you can use any lens design for her regular lenses and you can decide how much sepperation between the top and bottom segs.
