    Help. Identify Progressive

Pt wants exact same pal. Markings are identical to Signet poly Navigator with 1 exception....the 180 engraving is small circle instead of the plus symbol that is used on Navigator. Already tried Tony's site...no help. No way this lens is a Navigator, channel too wide. Pt says they came from LC. Any help?

Are you sure it is a circle and not a C. If it is a C it would possibly be the Navigator Short.

My opinion is that even if you discover what it is you won't have any experience fitting it, so why not explain that to the patient so you can fit a progressive based on his actual requirements. The overwhelming likelihood is that the lens was fitted to him just because that's what the company sold, not because it was particularly good for him. So show him you're different by asking the right questions and, hopefully, improving his visual comfort.

Sorry, I know that's not the answer you were looking for.

Not what I wanted, but still good advice. Tried that...engineers know everything. I thought you knew.

Don't talk to me about that! I had an engineer in practice today. And I had a customer recently who insisted on having a Vartek!
