    FT28 availability

I'm curious to know (if possible) who can make a FT28 with 3.00 of prism, in the add of the bifocal only?
Ive tried a few labs, they all said not capable/possible.

Any knowledge or recommendations greatly appreciated
    thanks

Wow, that Chadwick place has some crazy lens combos. Pretty neat.

They do some of the same work I do here. The way I would make the 3 D prism is by using the old tried and true Franklin or maybe an inlaid seg (pretty pricey tho). You can't get a D-28 prism seg in plastic and I don't think anyone makes it in glass anymore either.

I would just do a Franklin.

Depending on the Rx, you can use a D-45. figure the amount of decentration needed and use a small enough frame so you will have plenty of lens to accomodate the amount of decentration needed and remember to have the fpd placed in the right position to achieve the prism in the add only.
this may the most price conscience route to go, but if the powers aren't adequate enough you may have to do a Franklin.

Great solution, Randle, especially for hyperopic presbyopes.
