Need help with Airlock hole/notch sizes and spacing

I'm needing the hole/notch sizes and spacing for a Marchon Airlock frame - it's an AL800/53 in a 49 eye size.

I called Marchon and all they did was send a pattern but nothing with any measurements. Their website doesn't have anything terribly useful as well.

    Thank you for any help!
    -Steve

From memory, Large hole is 2.2 spacing is usually 3mm smaller hole is 1.5, I always use a demo or junk lens when I'm not 100% and adjust accordingly.

Hole sizing and spacing should be included in the paper insert with the demo.

Try large hole 4.5 from edge @ 2.2. notch height is 1.15 with width @ 1.25

Hole is 2.2 mm diameter, notch is 1.15mm. Drill the notch .5 to .6 mm from edge and the hole 3.8 mm from notch, or 4.4 from edge.

Interesting to observe the different measurements. Plz keep in mind that they may all "work", but at the nasal side, the effective DBL will vary!

On my Santinelli Less Stress drill I use:
1.0 for the notch, 1.20mm bit
4.70 for the hole 2.20mm bit

Procedure: I drill the notch 1 mm deep, switch bits then drill the hole 4.70 mm deep. I've probably done 1000+ like this.

This is perfect - thanks! One more question - is it drilled straight back or perpendicular to the lens surface?

I typically drill between 3°-5° of tilt dependent on BC.
