Wave Eager for an optical challenge And change professionally

I've been working as an optician for 14 years.
in brief i dispense, repair , order all inventory from frames to pens.
insurance expert, sell like nobody's business.
Cut and dye all jobs except rimless. ABO licensed.
    Have a bachelors too.

i am yearning for a change. I'm a beautiful charismatic, highly intelligent optical professional excited for a new opportunity.

    Anyone have advice?

So... Ericagoldi - you have been practicing without a license? Sounds like you are bright enough, and have lots of years of experience. I hope you realize that NY is one of the few states that doesn't allow "delegation." In other words, you cannot delegate a duty for which a license is required. Your dad might not know that either, but hey....the regs are the regs! ABO is a certification, not a license. But - it's part of the NY licensing process. Why not take the NYS practical and make yourself "street legal" and MUCH more employable? Without that, I have no opportunities for you in optical. Good luck!

Good for you! Nothing like the license to make you MUCH more valuable!
P.S. If I can help you in any way through the process, and I assume you are doing the NAO's CPP program), just shoot me a PM.
