Good morning! Does anyone know if a copy of ansi standards is available? The corporation I left earlier this year had a copy that the lab used. thanks.

Thanks Fezz. I am really liking Optiboard. Finding a lot of useful information.
I have another question for you if you don't mind. I am going to study for master abo. Is the second edition of system for opthalmic dispensing going to be the same info as the new edition? Found both editions on ebay. Thanks.
www.opticampus.com is a great resource. To be precise, however, what is posted there is a summary of the tolerances specified in ANSI Z80.1-2010, and is not in fact a "copy" of the standard. A full copy can be purchased at the ANSI store at http://webstore.ansi.org/ and search for Z80.1.Fellow member, Darryl Meister's site -Opticampus; is filled with valuable and helpful info. There is updated info on a few topics, particularly progressives in the 3rd vs 2nd editions. Plus better and more up to date color pictures. The info on ophthalmic optics is virtually the same. Either would do well as a study guide. If you're in the field for the long haul, I'd get the 3rd edition.
I did my ABOM under the old system when it was one program. I understand the newer ABO-AC exam is considerably different. It includes business topics that weren't on the exam I took.
Good luck with the process!
