Redhot Jumper Generic Free Form Progressive!

Happy Holidays to all of you.

We have been using Zeiss Indivual 2, Autograph 2, Hoya Mystyle...for our patients.

Now, we have to create a progressive package deal for medi-caid patients (low income patient in California) and so far we are not happy with young Image since patients have very difficult time to adjust. We pay less than <wholesale price removed> for the lens using the local lab.

Would you please show me is there any generic free form progressives out there with the same price that we pay for the young Image lenses? And which lab offer that generic free form progressive?

Please help. Thank you very much.

As per the forum rules, please do not post wholesale prices. Thank you.

First Younger Image is a great lens in my opinion especially Image Wrap. Second you are asking for a free form lens but at the same time talking about Younger Image which is not free form??? Little confusing...

Every lab has their in house free form lenses in which most of them are IOT designs. If you want please PM me your information and I can sent you information on lenses and pricing.

At lower-end prices most conventionally surfaced progressives are better than the cheap free-form products. Lenses like the Image - which as Gokhan said is a good lens although I also have trouble fitting it from time to time - the Ampia from Hoya, the Genesis/Piccolo from Shamir, or even the Comfort if you can find it from a third party lab, are all lenses that will be way better than your competitors free-form equivalent at similar price points.

However, there is one inexpensive free-form design that I would highly recommend, and that is the Wideview from Jai Kudo.

There are several other designs that are also being used.

No I haven't called them Lenny but I have visited large independently owned labs in person. There are other designs no question on that but what I was saying is that IOT holds a good market share when it comes to FF.

Robert, there was nothing wrong with your post my friend, I was just extremely surprised to hear that Jai Kudo is in lens business. To me it sounded no different than Essilor making washing machines.

Again WHERE did you get this information that IOT is used for most of FF house designs? From your visits to large independently owned labs?

hoya has the amplitude (conventional design) & amplitude HD High definition that is a very inexpensive entry level free form lens. The amplitude HD is similar in design to the ID Lifestyle but much less expensive!

I have seen and have presented to me, OEM lenses designed by IOT, Seiko, Shamir (before Essilor), and Zeiss; along with others where the designer is unknown.

I learned recently they are IOT designed... Which I guess is why I liked them.
