Hey folks, just looking for a bit of help tracking down a line. If it even exists any more. We used to carry a line from Safilo called Smith Optics. Bit of a sporty line but more interesting than say Nike or Adidas. Safilo doesn't carry it anymore though, and we're trying to track down who does. Any ideas?
Safilo still carry it here in the UK. I'm sure if you ask one of your Safilo reps really nicely they will tell you.
They are actually still owned by Safilo, but they're run pretty much separately. Their website is smithoptics.com If you can't reach them through there, I can get you in touch with our rep if you're really interested.
I have a few Smith Optics frames. Any particular model in mind?
My Smith rep just came in with her new line. They also manufacture safety frames for the US military. It seems someone wisely concluded that our military cannot rely on foreign manufacturing of glasses in time of war.
