PAL laser markings obtrusive to pts vision?

Hello Everone!

I am a long time reader to this site, but a new poster.

I have a pt that I believe is noticing the laser marks in her new progressives as a "blurry spot" in the lenses. She is wearing a Physio Enhanced 1.60, which has a larger than normal PAL identification marking.

The markings are perhaps slightly more noticible than usual, but not by any great amount. She has worn progessives before in her previous pair, although I don't have them to check PAL type and she is unaware.

She reports very clear optics for distance and reading, except for these "spots" in the periphery which are most noticable in the mid/reading area. There are no scratches, and no flaws that I can detect in the lens itself.

I am going to have the lab remake them in hopes of the new set having lighter markings than this set. I was just curious if anyone else has encountered this issue and/or any potential solutions that anyone can
conjure.

We have had it happen with our Sola HDV lenses. We did remakes, just asking for the marks to be lighter. Haven't had a problem since!
