Is the moon big and round right now?

One of our patients just asked my who I recommend to buy her glasses from.

I was a little surprised, since I'm surrounded by about 700 frames. Thinking she maybe lived far away and didn't want to purchase from us, I asked where she lived, and she said here in town. After telling her we sell glasses here (if it wasn't already obviously clear), she asked again who I recommend. I think the only sound for a minute was the blink blink of my eyes.

I think I need turkey and vodka, and not in that order!

Any chance she meant which optician within your office that you may recommend? (I know, probably not what she meant...but I'm trying to look on the bright side, lol) Anything is possible!!!

A man went to an eye specialist to get his eyes tested and asked, "Doctor, will I be able to read after wearing glasses?"
"Yes, of course," said the doctor, "why not!"
"Oh! How nice it would be," said the patient with joy, "I have been illiterate for so long."

Wow, really bolsters your fath in humanity. As to the Turkey/Vodka issues, hit the patient with the turkey while swigging the vodka.

Was she sober? I've had (apparently) intoxicated patients come in to make eyewear purchases... Something about it makes them want to spend as much as possible (and amazingly, they always actually have the money-- always cash pay). I've never had the good fortune to be in the office when they come in for dispensing to see if they still like their $500 glasses after sobering up.

I'm wondering if it's the water. Just had another patient ask me if she could purchase glasses here if she wanted to. Apparently I'm not doing a good job letting people know that yes we do sell glasses here and we are open to the public. No super secret optical shops open to super hero's only here.

I had a patient call saying that the contacts they ordered online were itchy and scratchy and she wanted to know why. Turns out the company hadn't contacted us to verify the RX and they had ordered the entirely wrong brand. After explaining this to the patient she then asked what other website would I recommend for ordering contacts!?! I told her I recommend our shop over any website, and she acted all surprised that we could order contacts!
