Buying ebay lensometers need help

I am looking to buy a auto lensometer . The one i found they all pricey ( but they all good . Topcon , Nidek , Shinnipon). My friend told me that i can buy on ebay.
They are chip . But all of them made in china . looks like a good Chinese copy of good auto lensometers.
Can someone tell me are they good to buy them ( the pries are start 800$- 1200$).Is it anybody heart that someone buy from ebay
