    Compensated RX help

    Hey everyone, just wanted to get some opinions and feedback on a compensated RX I have received from the lab today. The lens is the new S4D lens by essilor.

    RX ordered
    -1.75 -3.00 170 +2.25 add
    -2.75 -5.25 170 +2.25 add

    Compensated RX
    -1.74 -2.91 172 +2.48 ADD
    -2.75 -5.28 169 +2.90 Add

    Just wondering if anyone has an explanation why the OS Add power changed so much, and more importantly why there is such a difference in the two compensated Add powers. I do not have all the measurements home with me, so I can not provide a whole lot more information right now. I am just a little hesitant dispensing these glasses to the patient. Any input would be great.

    um..has this person worn bifocals before? Ever worn slab-off? Methinks maybe VX program sees whats goin on..

    Yes, Barry, thats what I was lookin at..but is Vx actually thinking a compensation for rx or for imbalance?
