    Dry eye Drops

I live in dry eye central and was hoping to offer sample drops to patients, so far none of the major manufacturers offer samples any longer, instead they're offering coupons.

    So far I've called

    allergan

    baush lomb

    alcon

    novartis

    Abbot AMO

Did I miss one? Any advice, thanks.

Of course they offer coupons, so hand them out. They want to sell a product and make a few bucks not give away their product in tinny winny increments. Kinda like us. We dont want to give away PD's and Seg mesurments. We want to sell a product.
But other then that, No I dont know of anyone else to check with.

Maybe someone on their forum could help get you the samples?

We get samples from Allergan (refresh) and Novartis (genteal). I know we don't get a lot, but we get them.

Sounds like a cool idea. Are there any dry eye drops that are just sterile saline rather than having preservative and other sorts of unknown chemicals in them?

I believe that Alcon offers a house brand of Systane that can be sold in your shop. This is what I recall in a passing conversation with the doc a couple weeks back.

We also attempted to get samples...but we were told (by every company) that they were out until the first of the year. So....coupons it is!!

A man went to an eye specialist to get his eyes tested and asked, "Doctor, will I be able to read after wearing glasses?"
"Yes, of course," said the doctor, "why not!"
"Oh! How nice it would be," said the patient with joy, "I have been illiterate for so long."

It's more like a trial frame demo to show the value ;)

If you have an OD on board, it may be easier. First try online signup for drop shipment once a month. The other is track down the Alcon rep who is in your territory, once you are acquainted, they go out of their way to provide samples...especially if you grow their market share. Allergan has been helpful, too. Also look for the smaller market players, they often will provide anything to grow.
