Ultra Optics Mini II question

I've got an Ultra Optics Mini II that works pretty well in general. The only problem I've got is when the arm swings over to the right to the coating bowl. It hits the stop point fairly hard and bounces a few times before settling down and dropping into the bowl towards the coating stream.

I've heard there's a way to soften the arm rotation. Do any of you know which adjustment it is? I just don't want the thing to break some day.

There is a small collar on the drive motor that will index the table. It looks odd shaped and uses magnetics to indicate when the table stops for each station. You can easily reset by loosing the allen bolt and realign. If unsure, use a sharpie marker and index the current location in the event you need to return to original position. Sounds like the collar has come loose and the motor continues past the desired position. The motor itself can't be slowed down.
