We currently have an open position for a Customer Service Representative career opportunity at Reliable Optics in Brooklyn, NY.


POSITION PURPOSE:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for maintaining and building relationships with new and existing customers to enhance sales growth. Performance will be judged based on a combination of efficient and friendly handling of inbound calls as well as the ability to monitor rush orders. Prefer candidate to have previous optical experience.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Field calls from existing and new customers and provide best-of-class experiences.
2. Handle service calls in a professional fashion and resolve customer issues to its finality.
3. Responsible for gaining new accounts via territory prospecting and handling inbound inquiries from marketing efforts.
4. Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of broad brands of optical products, applying that knowledge appropriately and effectively in selling situations.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Optical and telephone experience; Strong interpersonal skills i.e. flexibility, adaptability and a proven ability to work in a team environment.

The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and good organizational skills.
Must be able to work confined to a desk for extended periods and is exposed to continuous noise from others in the work area.
Must be able to handle multiple concurrent tasks at one time.
Must have working knowledge of optics, lenses, coatings, and lens prescriptions.
