Looking for an office that specializes in low vision (San Diego/North County area)

While delivering some things to a nearby LC, I unfortunately had the opportunity to meet a sweet little girl and her wonderful mom. The reason it was at all unfortunate was because I went out onto the retail floor with the sales associate that had to explain to mom that her daughter's script was outside of the range of what we could process. I was there to giver her hope that I could find someone to help through the people here.

Does anyone know of a good place in the San Diego/North County area that would be willing to help? I found one on google that might look promising but I'd rather get some opinions from others.

Also....does anyone know where to get a plunger to remove a prosthetic eye? This is for the same little girl.

Please, I'm not looking for this to become a LC bashing thread because her script is out of range. My point here is to help.

As for the suction cup (plunger) the better ones (Large and red) are available from Danker Labs in Sarasota. Or you could contact me at andersonsoptique@bellsouth.net if you need just one and Margie will send you one.
You might try the nearest teaching hospital for low vision aids. You might also find a listing in your area under "ocularists" for a suction cup. When asking for suction cup, be sure and specify that you want an artificial eye/sclearal lens type as the ones for corneal contact lenses are not ususally up to the job.

Thanks you two! I ordered one for her. Mom was doing everything she could to keep it together when we told her the news. Buying this for her and alleviating that stress is the least I can do. I'm wishing I was in a full lab again as I'd love to just try and run them myself for her
