Marco 101 lensometer how do I tighten it so it stays up

I have a nice good ol Marco 101, I have a rubber door stop in it keep it upright. Does anyone know how I could tighten it? Tried taking off the allen screw but there is a cotter pin holding the handle in , I was going to tighten it some then readjust the handle position but that won't work b/c of the cotter pin.

Any help would be great so I can take out the rubber door stop.

Call Lombart. there is a big plastic washer (for lack of a better word) on the side opposite of the handle you use to tighten it. i had the same problem and they sent me all the stuff to fix it and it comes with directions. i dont remember if there was any charge for it but it there was it wasn't much. hope this helps

I had this problem took mine apart and it was a little tricky to put back together. If you knock the roll pin out of the prec. dial then you can take it apart, not bad if you are handy!
