    Lightbulb Satisloh courses!

    Hello everyone,

I work for a professional optical retailer company back in my homeland, specialized in importing optical
frames, all types of lenses and equipment such as auto lens edger, Lens meter, Refractometer...

Now, We're willing to take the next step and get a complete lab (surfacing, coating...etc,) from Satisloh
or any other specialized company .

I noticed that Satisloh are offering in their website Technical Training for every machine they have the
courses are taking place in USA, which is very good .

Now the problem is that we don't have an idea about the scientific background needed to attend these
courses (Satisloh courses) and that's why I would like to ask you :

    1. where do you recommend us to gain the knowledge needed for taking part in these courses
    (what colleges, institutes... etc,)

    2. and also to know how much knowledge is needed
( how many (levels), studying years, estimated time... etc,)

Any kind of help will be appreciated, thanks in advance!

You might also want to look at Schneider. They make great optical equipment and you can attend courses in Germany as well.

As every equipment in the market made with high technology I don't think you need any knowledge to attend any course but basic optical, computer, and math knowledge might come in handy.

You may also want to check Opto-tech, they have courses throughout Europe.

Many thanks for your reply, can you give me an idea about the "basic optic" you are talking about!?
Because I can't understand what is considered basic optic knowledge and what is considered advanced optic knowledge!

Hi. I have been on many courses over year with most of the vendors and you really don't need to be a brain doctor to attend one.The thing I would say is make sure you know how to use the machine you are going on course for. Most of the big vendors have manuals that most normal competent people could follow ( people who know a hammer is different from a screwdriver).
