    Semi-rimless repair.

    Tips on replacing the t-bar on a pair of semi-rimless frames?

    I always keep lots of different ones on hand. Eventually one of them will fit. We bought a tool a couple years back but I've found it to be pretty useless.

    remove the cord, slide the t bar to the correct position and restring the end you removed. If the nasal has too sharp a bend, use 2 pieces from both ends,

    I assume that a "T-Bar" means figure 8 liner. Really supprised everyone doesn't have this on the shelf. Obtainable free from most manufacturers that have semi-rimless line. Obtainable for a small price from Hilco and thier various compeditors.

    Also a word of warning. If you ever feel the need to weld or solder a semi-rimless frame, remove all figure 8 liner as well as anything else plastic before attempting to do anything else!
