I used to get this same effect, but I left my glasses on my dash in the hot Sacramento sun.

Redhot Jumper A matt finish would never have made the optical lens industry........................

If you can not find an optical lens coater, contact an industrial one. Most new type ideas are not developed in the optical industry but have been used in other applications.

A matt finish would never have made the optical lens industry, as a matt surface does not serve as a means of anti-reflection. A industrial coating company might already have a formula to do so. Here is one of them-------> http://visimaxtechnologies.com/custo...lens-coatings/
