Can anyone use used eyeglass cases? Our Lions Club collects the glasses and the cases are set aside. I have thousands. Maybe for a mission trip or outreach clinic. Some are brand new with a store logo. There are clam shell, slip in etc. Just pay for shipping. (Long time Optiboarders please keep the jokes down to a minimum.)

Used eyeglass cases are about the most yack......yack.........yack unhiegenic items you can imagine. I would make a big fire and burn them to ashes.

yes there is a rather large 2 week mission going to jamaica in Oct with the icare.org or gsjamaica.org . I kinda think they have 'most' of what they need, but i don;t really know this for a fact. , but we are all going together , seriously if the cases are all gently used I can forward them onto jamaica or to haiti or even a totally separate Jamaica mission with the Lions & the cathloic church coming in the top of this next year than we can find a good home for gently used light weight cases ans non-rx suns too. let's stay in touch! please! I kinda think the oct 2 week mission has most of their ducks in a row after 10 years of planing, buy we always end up with voids and holes that need to filled at the last minute, so hold your reserves & let's get this oct. perfected as best as we can with supplies
Any leftovers can go right over to mandeville jamaica or even haiti, it all work out just stay in touch. He will keep us and the supplies all straight. he's very organized!

In Jamaica be prepared to listen to endless repeditive complaining about the government, endless offers to sell you drugs and people that would rather buy drugs than roofs for thier shanties. The need eyeglass cases?

Saw an article in Optometric Management just out on Smart Specs and its history. a big chain in Europe and Australia and Scandinavian countries with over 1,000 outlets. Like our Walmarts, Targets, Costcos,etc. The original owner is a billionaire. Maybe Jessica Hurley is trying to get the name out on Optiboard.

I dispense a couple of times a month at a free clinic and we could use some cases. Our frames are provided gratis by local ECP's and some from fellow OB'ers, and lenses are processed by a local lab, but they do not provide cases. I could use 50 or so if you still have them available. You can PM me for address.
