    Wire shooting machine

    Hello Optiboard crew,

Been looking around here and there is a ton of great information to be found. Wow. I look forward to spending time on here.

I am in the midst of starting a new eyewear company, producing all glasses in-house. I was wondering if any of you could help me steer towards the rights direction. I am looking for a wire shooting machine, to insert the core wire into the temples. At this point, I don't really need a highly advance system, but happy to look at anything out there.

Please let me know. Thank you.

    Best,

    Mark Webber

Actually you need 2 machines to insert temple cores onto plastic temples. 1. Conductor heater to heat and soften Zyl temples. 2. The Pneumatic temple core insertion machine operates by 220 volts. They are available in Italy, agermany and China.

Thank you Jerry, any idea where I could get the conducted heater and the Pneumatic insertion machine? -- I have been looking at different companies, but very few seem to make them.

try http://www.ic.gc.ca/app/ccc/srch/nvg...d=501&app=sold They may be out of this line of work now but they use to do this. The company has downsized and changed hands and I do remember that there was an employee that split off years ago to open his own version of this in upper New York State , possibly the Rochester or Buffalo area . I think they used to service the frame manufacturing plants there

Hmm, all good answers, and I have nothing to add except, you have answered the age old question that asks: What do you call a person because they eat metal causes loose bowels--of course, he's a wire shooter.

Mr. Tomio Chik from Keep Touch LTD in Hong Kong can help you. He is the distributor of the 3D eyewear automation, Italy and he can also buy cheaper version from Chinese made.

    Good luck

It should be fairly easy to make a manually operated machine, just think about the process and design from there.
