    ABO Advanced Certification Help!

I know that there are several old threads regarding this, but there hasn't been anything super recent posted.

I was wondering if anyone who has taken the exam in the past couple of years has any general suggestions. Also, if anyone knows of supplemental study material besides the AOT, that would be great! Or if you want to fly to Maine and tutor me (just kidding...). :)

    Thanks for the help.

    Advanced Optician's Tutorial

    And study, study, study!

It wasn't as hard as I expected, but I never would have passed without that book.

    Thanks Bob.

The thing to remember about any book is what is it? The Advanced Opticians Tutorial (AOT) is a review book. There are a list of other references listed at the back of the book that include the most of the ones listed by Wes. I don't think there SHOULD be only one book.

The original poster states s/he is using (or at least knows of) the AOT (Advanced Optician's Tutorial) in the first post, and asks for additional references.

I agree Diane, cramming from one book does not make one an advanced optician in my view. A well rounded comprehensive base of knowledge, skill and experience does. Buy the books; you'll need references for the ABOM paper!

I also want to take the Advanced exam and have 3 of the 4 books on the list. Does anyone have the AOT that they can rent/sell/loan to me? Thanks for the book list too!
