Redhot Jumper Looking for a change

I've been working as an optician for 14 years and am looking for a change. I was considering becomming a frame rep or even a rep for optical equipment.

I'm really open to any new avenue. Anyone have any ideas?
    Really appreciate the help !!!

That would depend on why you're looking for a change. If you're genuinely interested in learning another side of the industry, by all means go for it. I love being a rep. However, if you're looking for a change because you're tired of demanding clients, long hours and cutthroat competition, the only difference you'll probably find is who's signing your check...if you get one.

Long hours.. there are never enough hours in the day to get things done, I'm not adverse to hard work. Plus I love interacting with patients. No complaints on that end.
Not looking for an easy way out. Just time for a change. Time for a new challenge.
    Thank you for the comments.

I did exactly what you are contemplating, but I hadn't been in the field as long as you. I was in 4 years, became a rep, saw what everyone else was/wasn't doing right, and went back into the field as an owner. The experience was invaluable, and I don't regret it for a minute.

A change is good. In now some 36 years, I've done just about everything. Like I said in another thread, I got out of the business and was not planning to get back in. Unfortunately, this is what I do best.....and you can sit around and watch Dr. Phil just so long....goo luck with your decision.......
