RIP Dr. Borish
We have lost a giant!
A true pioneer has left us!
I had the pleasure of meeting him several times. He was truly a gracious man, and one who made his mark on his profession and beyond.
Truly a loss to our profession. However, he will live on in all of his good works. What a great legacy.

what can I say...he wrote the book.
May he rest in peace.
I traded emails with him a few times and even got a reprinting of one of his books that was spiral bound. I always said one day I would get it signed. Truly a loss, may his seat be close to God.

Dr. Irvin Borish ploughed the path we are all on. I heard him speak about 5 years ago after receiving an award. He recapped his career from the very beginning and ended by talking about where he hoped the profession was headed. What a clairvoyant advocate for optometry. Not too shabby. RIP

RIP. I heard from many he was the man!
Rest in Peace Dr. Borish,
He was an amazing man, 'the book', Clinical Refraction (Volumes 1 and 2) is a valuable resource and his seminars were inspiring. He was also named 'Optometrist of the Century' by Jobson a while back, and was a talented artist.
I still quote him in my seminars, he will not be forgotten.
