Anyone have any ideas on how to move (as in to a dumpster) or get rid of an old 113 Generator ????

    Ad in paper:
    Free scrap iron. You haul.
Some bubbas will come by in a truck and haul 'em off.

I know someone who got rid of their 108 by calling a tow truck. They chained it up and took it to the local scrap yard and got a couple hundred bucks for it. They used a pallet jack to get it to the parking lot. Hope this helps.

    Thanks Jacqui,
If you were closer I would give it to you.
Thought Fezz would say "Sledge hammer and acetylene torch" and a six pack of bud!
They sure don't build them like that anymore........................

We had an ancient 108 hauled to our local scrap dealer. The best part was watching the crane pick it up by the motor mount and dump it into the shredder. Amazing sound.

Jacqui -- are you looking for a 113 right now? I've got one up here in St. Cloud if you need it. Its a 113 HW, and I think I've got a full set of both glass and plastic wheels for it.

If you have, or know someone with a large boat, tie a rope to it and use it as an anchor

I just had a thought - I seem to remember that a lot of old(er) equipment was heading south into Mexico, Central and South America. Since you are in Florida already, why not check with some of the optical exporters to see if they would be interested in taking it off your hands?

Found a machine rigger who will move it out of my location for $450.00
12 feet for $450 = 37.50 per foot or about 11.25 eyemed eye exams.
    Asset now becomes a liability.

Happy ending for me!! Sold the Generator and the Buyer paid for the rigger as well as the freight. Win Win....I get rid of the beast and he gets a great machine from circa 1975 that will most likely outlast every piece of equipment I currently own.

For its time and available technology, it was a pretty awesome machine. Computerized technology was not yet in the $$ reach of the machine makers (or the labs for that matter).
