    Wave No Sacred Ground

You know I retreat to the Opti-board for a little reseach, a little down time, and just to relax. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Everytime I get online my 10 year old daughter, Kelsee, suddenly wants to look over my shoulder and read EVERY single item posted. Then she wants me to explain all the ones she doesn't understand. In fact she is bugging me now. Anybody else experiencing this phenomenon?

Everyone say hi 'cause she'll be leaning over my shoulder reading replies to this.

My daughter has had a computer since about age 4. She has plenty of games to play and internet access (age restricted). Still it seems whenever I go online suddenly no of that stuff matters and she wants to watch my optiboard stuff. I guess she will probably lose interest in me when she becomes a teen. Then I guess she will be posting threads complaining about me looking over her shoulder.

Wait until they're in their twenties and thirties. They know everything about computers!

Mine are constantly "fixing" and "tweaking" my system - remotely no less!

    I keep reminding myself - "It's just a phase!"

Is this via your isp or some software you installed. I have not had a problem Yet but am thinking of installing something just in case..I dont supervise her access yet as she's quite happy browsing sites i know about (Took her old bookmarks of my puter) and feel safe about, mostly BBC great kids section
I think in terms of kids Girls are less interested in finding the porn....

    John,

I have blocks on her screen name through my provider. She is a good girl and doesn't go into sites she shouldn't . The blocks are mostly to prevent inappropriate folks from contacting her.
