Let me show you just what my Santinelli ME1200 and FF lenses can do

I've decided to photo-document a pair of FF progressives I'm making. The specs are:

Rx: OD -11.25; OS -11.75; add +2.25 O.U. Digital Eyelab G Mod 1.67 polarized FF progressives into a Juicy Couture "Sweet/s" Tort Sun frame.
Panto: 7 degrees; VD: 12.5mm (same as refraction); Wrap/Panoramic angle: 10 degrees (!)

I spec'd the lenses on a 2 Base, as opposed to a plano base, which is where they would belong in a flatter-angled frame.

Nice job Berry. Am I seeing you edger info correct? (Did you use the guide function to put a 5.5 BC bevel on the 2 base lens? I do that also on flat based lenses going into higher curved frames.)

Nice Job! I <3 the Me-1200 and the hi-curve and step options. And the jobs come out much nicer when you know what to order and know your machine well enough to make such a beautiful looking job. Way to go!

Jeeze, you got major cojones to do a script like that in a sunglass. At least it's not a wrap.

Yes, this bevel meniscus feature is absolutely essential to make lenses fit ideally. And I do think that an rx of this range, in a wrap angle of 10 degrees, qualifies it for wrap status.

The finished product looks fantastic cosmetically, but how are the optics?

Well, obviously they've been compensated. but until the client tries these out (and I'm out on a limb here, As she is somewhat sensitive!) firsthand, we won't know. I'll keep you posted.

Nice job all around. The great thing about it turning out so well is that the patient will be more inclined to give it a fair shake if she likes the way it looks. (which of course, she will!)

Let us know when you dispense them.

Well here ya go. Its not a facet, but its something I did for a tribute to the pacmanClick image for larger version.

I'll have to take some pictures of the more exotic stuff I guess. The facet is ok. Could polish better, but touching up a polish is way better than starting from scratch. It cant polish trilogy to save its life, but I've found that after the lens rotates once or twice on the polish wheel, start dripping water on it and it does a superb job.

I'm doing another themed pair as soon as my frame gets here. I'll post some images of it as well.

Step bevel mainly, but there are some other enhancements to most of the other bevel modes. The nidek people said that a future software upgrade will permit a sculpted bevel, a la Oakley Flak Jacket. We'll see.

ID:	8234Update: I've delivered the Suns. She put them on, and with nary a word...she LUV'd them! I asked her to stand up and walk, and that's when she felt alittle woozy (from the 10 degree wrap). I advised her that she would gets used to this, or we might reduce the wrap angle a bit if needed. I'll complete her Zeiss 1.74 Individuals tomorrow. Maybe I'll take photos and post them here too. Thanks for all the kind words. With the right equipment, my ME1200, its so easy, a caveman....

The step bevel ability on this thing is truly amazing. Even the square beveled suns are cake with the last software upgrade they did here. We've had ours for about a year and I'm still loving the fact that I can do pretty much anything. There is an upper size limit on the step bevel, but dont know what it is. We had a 68 eye sun that was square beveled with a step that the machine flat wouldnt do.

Once I got the hang of it, some of the rx lenses I use for those square / step bevels fit better than the demos that ship with it.
