I have a pateint with Restor IOL OS, 20/25 D and N, sc, and early cataract OD, +1.75 -0.50 X110 with +2.25 add OD. Would you prescribe a PAL OD only and plano OS?
Thanks

I sure hope whatever you write, you make it in your optical shop because this has failure written all over it. I have tried one of these, and all I can say is good luck.
My advice, bump up the glare test on the OD and take out the other Cat, new restor in that eye, problem solved. The aniso with that script dooms you from the get go.
I don't agree with obxey in regards to the aniso, that's the least of the problems. I would put him into a FT and carefully explain that this will give him the best vision possible until the cataract in the right eye is ready to be removed. To put someone into a PAL under those circumstances only adds more variability to the situation. The key is stressing that this is won't be perfect. but will be the best possible interim solution. You can even throw a plano +50 Add OS for cosmesis.
