Yesterday the hard drive on the server running OptiBoard started producing warnings that it was not functioning properly and might fail. Once I received this warning I asked the web hosting company to check it out. They said that they would need to replace the drive. Estimated downtime - 1 hour.

Unfortunately the process took closer to 11 hours and during this time OptiBoard was unreachable. The good news is that the web host was able to replace the hard drive with a new one and restore all the data (I pay extra for daily backups of the hard drive.)

Eveything is fine now and I'm sorry about the problems. The moral of this story is - always make backups! :D
