    Confused double vision

    if a px complain abt old pal distance no problem but reading double vision....reading area only left abt 4mm..is it due to small reading area? after eye check degree no change.....

    Set up a single vision near Rx at near PD. See if problem persists. If so, find pt an ophthalmologist specializing in strabismus. If not, the problem is in the spectacles themselves. Could be several problems check spectacles for ballenced seg. ht, power, at both near and far. Correct cyl, and axis. Base curve match (seldom actually the problem but possible.)
    What do you mean by reading area left only about 4 mm? That's hardly enough for a straight top, shure not enough for any pal. Also check panto.
