    Zeiss, Shamir, essilor & Hoya

Can you please help me in comparing these brands in terms of price vs benefits? These are the lenses available here in the philippines, we've been using essilor and Hoya since I graduated , Zeiss was introduced last year and Shamir just now, please share me your thoughts , thank you

You didn't mention Seiko, I would definately put that on your list. Also, you don't mention what your priorities are? I think your question is a little vague, can you be more specific? Are you looking at grinders only, or Free-form too? What type of patients do you have, what do they need?

We do not have seiko here, I'm referring to free-form lenses in general. we want to prescribe the best to our patients in terms of price, adaptability, wider field of view ,aberration, and comfort.

i have fit all these for pass 4 yrs. i just started with shamir freeform this year, so far i'm happy with it. but as for all PAL different manufacturer do have some pro n cons. so you have to justify what your patient want. to go as general, Shamir and SolaOne is my top option.

I've been using Hoya primarily, stopped using Zeiss. This past year switched to Shamir lenses. They're digital PAL's and SV lenses. So far I've had nothing but "wow" effects. Customers tend to love these shamir lenses over many others. Plus for some reason many labs are offering special pricing on Shamir free-form lenses. So you get a great product at a great price. Highly recommend Shamir... Hoya also.
