    ideas for "fun" education?

Hi i am new to this forum. I work at a small clinic and each staff member does their own "staff" education once a year. I have worked here for awhile and have run out of fun or interesting ideas! one year i did " what diseases can be detected with an eye exam" , that was cool, anoter year i did fact or myth question. Does anyone out there have any good ideas? maybe something that has been done in your clinic? Thanks for any help -- CPOT Girl

I'm on a big microbiology kick lately,
How about "Microbiology and eyecare", you could talk about different bacterial and viral conditions and their impact on eyecare.
Just typing this made me recall a conversation I once had about Herpetic Keratitis.... EEewww, eye herpes!
(remember to wash your hands after handleing patients old/worn frames!)

You could do an eyeball trivia game which is quite fun and educational

You could also add in famous faces/movie eyewear trivia

We have a game called "Eyes...there's nothing trivial about it!" We have used this in our practice for several years. The game is challenging, informative, and fun. It is a great study aid to help our staff prepare for certifying exams. There are 6 cassette cases, each containing 50 cards with 5 questions per card. Answers on back of card. Some of the topics are General Medical Knowledge, Basic Work Up, Extended Work Up, Fundus Photography, Flourecein Angiography, Glaucoma, Visual Fields, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Surgical Assisting, and Instrument Maintenance. We usually split our clinic staff into 2 teams of 4 and play Hang Man with a dry erase board. Each person can choose there own topic when it is there turn. If you are interested the Company is:
