    Lens Design

    I have an Rx OD +8.75 -4.25 x 75 =1* up and 3*out
    OS +7.75 -3.50 x 89 =1* dn and 3* out
    Add +2.00
What lens is available in Flat top that is high index and aspheric that can be ARC. Would also like it to be transitions as well. I know that is a stretch so without it will suffice.
    Thanks
    Don

bud, looked thru the Frames Lens reference guide; looks to me the big problem will be getting a lens with a steep enough base curve; signet amorlite has st-35 in 1.56 non-aspheric, 8.50 base curve, you'd have better luck with one of the pal designs....

With a base out prism this rx in small frame will be thin enough !!!
Knife edge and small eyesize will do the trick.

Don, I'm a little hazy (retirement does that). Not too much available in ST aspheric designs but a couple options to consider.

Bristolite. CR-39. Don't believe avail in Trans. B.C.'s up to 14.00 so power shouldn't be a problem.

ASL D-28 from SOLA. Avail in both Spectralite and poly. Believe the Spectralite is (was?) available in Transitions as well. B.C. limited to 7.70 tho so the power might not fit.

For a good resource, go to www.walman.com. Click on Rx Fabrication then Green Card Info on the right side. The Bristolite is #115; the ASL #155.

By the way, what did your lab recommend?

    P.S. Did you sell yet?
