I'm really disappointed in how light a pair of sv Trivex Polar photo gray lenses came out. No where near dark enough in their exposed state.
Seem to recall you can't tint trivex.
Change to a poly just polarized?
Must be safety- monocular patient.

Suspect they are Transitions. To tell you the truth I can't tell the difference (except when in hand or in a mirror) in my Transitions lenses (non-polarized) as far as brightness and glare. And to compare them to my polarised grays is rediculous.
Highly reccomend two pair of glasses, full time sun and clear. Other alternative, if you are in a place that has Winter, wait 'til Winter to sell him photochromics.

Chip- They're not transition only. These are moderately dark in the light state but seem to only darken maybe 20% more to a total of 80% when in direct sunlight.
You can tint trivex with or without a backside coat.
Depends on the coating brah. Some src don't tint. but raw trivex will tint to a gray 3 in seconds. The problem is that sometimes raw trivex will tint slightly blotchy.
Where is Ole Man Ryser to promote Micro-Tints when we need him?
So am I best off biting the bullet and changing to a tintable poly polarized with no ability to change?
Thanks for the replies so far.
VE Coppertone GREY Polarized.
If these babies aren't dark enough for 'em, *you've* got yourself a PIA!

Would a flash mirror help?
I'm assuming since it's polar, it was surfaced.
It's Tintable!
Are you using the NXT line of lenses? I've done a couple in different shades, both looked great. What color are you shooting for?
